Every year the Beverage List gets a shakedown and some of our staff (above) have the terrible task of tasting the chosen new wines! We look at the suitability of old wines, wines that have been discontinued and wines that don’t sell well for possible replacements. We also look at new trends in the market, emerging wine regions and grape varieties. All of this is done in light of the Spring budget and inevitable Duty increases to alcoholic beverages.

Ho, ho, ho! Bookings already underway for Christmas! Tick one thing off the list & choose from our 3 course luncheons including Christmas novelties & Amaretto Stollen Shot from £24.75pp, or one of our great value dinner packages!
This month I recommend the fish-eaters among you try the delicious Pan-fried hake with chickpea and chorizo stew which we are currently serving in our Brasserie One, alongside the 2017 Kraal Bay Chenin Blanc from our wine list. This wine from South Africa has the weight to match the sumptuous, rich flavours of the stew. See if you can also detect its delicious notes of green apple sweets, minerals and chalk, honey, orange peel and a floral perfume. Delicious!
One Great George Street has introduced new house wines this month which are organic, sustainable and vegan.
