I attended the MIA Connect Agent day at the lovely DoubleTree Hilton Chester where I had the opportunity to represent One Great George Street while meeting venues and agents from across the country. The day was designed to facilitate best working practices with our existing partners, as well as building new relationships.
There’s nothing wrong with biscuits and cookies, but as is often the case at this time of year most people had their fill at Christmas! To kick-start the New Year we’ve upgraded our refreshments within the Day Delegate Rate (DDR) packages we offer to include bowls of fruit, Eat Natural bars and infused mineral water. Not ready to say no to your sweet tooth – fear not; the biscuits and cookies will be there too!
Every three years One Great George Street undertakes an external accreditation to (hopefully) continue to remain a member of the small but growing group of venues and hotels that are gold members of the MIA’s Accredited in Meetings scheme (AIM).

Want to cut the endless hours searching for a good venue but worried you’ll book somewhere that fails to live up to expectation? Then adjust your aim.
Accredited in Meetings (AIM) is the UK’s nationally recognised standard for venues and service providers in the meetings, conferences and events industry. As the MIA’s AIM Development Group Chairman and Director of AIM Gold Accredited One Great George Street, I thought I’d share my recent interview explaining the accreditation scheme with Executive PA Magazine.
