For ten years Invest in ME (Research) has been organising international biomedical research conferences in Westminster, London. The conferences now attract delegates (researchers, clinicians, media, patient groups, patients, carers, politicians) in a unique event that is friendly and conducive for learning and networking.
SeeAbility’s recent fundraising dinner held within One Great George Street‘s Great Hall was a huge success; achieving a magnificent total of £90,000.
The sum will support SeeAbility’s Children in Focus Campaign which transforms eye care and vision for children with disabilities. It will fund 1,058 specialist sight tests in SeeAbility’s pilot special schools located in London, Buckinghamshire and Durham.
Restrictions will be in place on 3 and 4 February
A major Government conference will be taking place near One Great George Street and as a result, there will be a significant security operation in place which will restrict access to the building.
We were already looking forward to hosting SeeAbility‘s fundraising event at One Great George Street on the 27th February 2016, but our recent tasting of their event’s menu to be served by our in-house catering team has further whetted our appetite!
Take a peak at their menu choices fresh from the OGGS kitchen, and discover how to stay tuned with this event and our other accessibility offers and updates…
Having pioneered accessibility in historic venues with one of the first sesame platform lifts, we’ve just completed new ground floor accessible shower and toilet facilities.
We have further plans to make One Great George Street even more accessible in 2016 as part of #OGGSRefurb. Stay tuned for further details on this blog and via twitter by following us @OGGSVenue.
