Seeing is believing! A good, old-fashioned site visit still has the wow-factor for me at OGGS!
Old will always be gold in event sales as while it’s important we move with the times by getting tech savvy, nothing beats face-to-face and one-to-one communication. How else can you develop a strong, trusting and positive relationship with that new client, and maintain one with a loyal customer?
People still buy people, and I find it refreshing to go back to basics. One of my favourite recurring moments is a guest’s reaction as they step into our Great Hall and can’t help but look up in awe at its exquisitely painted ceiling.
My own reaction was captured recently for an impromptu wedding photoshoot as pictured.
Meet Marion Tripet (featured in our gorgeous library) who joins my Proactive Sales Department this week as Sales Executive. Marion will be primarily responsible for selling our beautiful spaces to a range of diverse markets. She will proactively seek new leads and act as Brand Ambassador for One Great George Street during showrounds to prospective new clients, and at networking events and exhibitions. Keep an eye out for her at future events and pop over to say hello!
Marion holds a degree in International Business, and prior to joining One Great George Street gained substantial sales experience within diverse international companies including the Holiday Inn group. In her spare time Marion likes travelling, walking and enjoying music or nights out with friends.
Regarding her new role within One Great George Street, Marion said: “This is a dream come true for me and I’m really excited about this new position which represents a new challenge for me and a new chapter in my life. Now it’s time for me to put all my energies into helping One Great George Street continue to achieve its vision of being the preferred choice meetings and events venue in Westminster”
