I’m delighted to introduce Nikki Harris, who has joined the events team as our new Wedding and Events Executive.
Nikki’s most recent role was at the restaurant group, Drake and Morgan, as the Group Private Hire and Events Manager for just over 18 venues. Needless to say, Nikki brings with her a wealth of experience and skills that are perfectly suited to her role with us.
In fact, as she’s busy planning her own wedding for July 2020, those carefully selected group of suppliers that Nikki has been cultivating over the years, will certainly come in handy!
Now in its 23rd year, The City Fine Wine Challenge is the NSPCC’s annual interactive event for industry professionals in the Financial Services sector.
The NSPCC have been delighted to hold the City Fine Wine Challenge at One Great George Street for the past two years. The dedication from staff is exceptional and our guests have been really impressed with the standard of service offered as well as the beautiful characteristics of the venue itself.”
Bethan Sweeting, Special Events Manager – Partnerships
This year we’ve gone all out on our decorations and have installed a 14ft Koster fir tree, complete with 2000 silver, gold and burgundy baubles (500 of which are Art Deco), 20 gold garlands and 100 glitter birds!
The pillars are festooned with gold branches and have been lit in amber to give the whole space a warm glow.
I’m sure you’ll agree that it looks very special. Thanks to TBR Floral Design for another wonderful install.
With the festive season only around the corner, thoughts are turning to parties and all things Christmassy. Here at OGGS, the House Manager David Smith and I started working on our Christmas decorations back in January, so it will be great to see all of the planning out into this come to fruition. Make sure you keep an eye out for pictures of our 2018 Christmas tree on social media (see last year’s atmospheric blue display above)!
Thought I’d share some casual photos of the bespoke, hearty Irish fare we’ll be serving up at the Tourism Ireland event at One Great George Street on 3rd October! Looks like it’s going to be a very tasty event.
