2020 has been a dramatic year so far, to say the least! Searching for good news can be challenging at the best of times, however, the team still manage to remain positive, with the ‘glass half full’ spirit, as always! It seems the positivity has paid off, as the good news this week is that we have been shortlisted for THREE¬† awards at The Conference Awards 2020.


The categories are:

Best Conference Venue (under 450 Theatre Style)

Best Conference Venue Customer Service

Best Operations Team (Venues)


We are thankful for this honor and look forward to the awards ceremony in October. This is testimony to all the hard work that goes on behind (and in front of) the scenes by the team.

As lock-down regulations are relaxing, we are preparing to re-open – hopefully in the near future.

I’m sure you have more than a few questions about the differences in the way we operate, due to COVID-19. To help with those questions, the picture above shows our main measures.

We are complying with government guidelines, and keeping abreast of new developments, therefore we are complying with the social distancing recommendations (2 metres). This will apply to movement throughout the venue and different event types. We are also operating a one-way system around the venue to facilitate appropriate distancing.

Hand sanitizer will be available at various points in the building, and our dedicated team of cleaners will be on duty at all times to carry out frequent cleaning of the building, with high touch areas being cleaned several times per day.

We also have new procedures regarding our catering provisions. As expected our catering staff will be fully equipped with PPE, including gloves & masks. There will also be clearing stations available for attendees to give back their crockery and cutlery safely. We are also providing ‘Grab & Go’¬† lunch bags with packaged cutlery for those who would prefer ‘touch-free’ catering.
