Are you watching it? I caved and managed to watch all 72 episodes within 3 weeks just so I could join my fellow colleagues in watching the finale with pizza and beers. With the final episode of the entire series coming to an epic end this Monday, it all seems very eerie with our current government situation don’t you think? Even last night I attended the AGM for the Westminster Venue Collection which we have been part of for at least 8 years (8 seasons in the show – see I’m finding a connection everywhere), anyways, I couldn’t help but wonder… are we all playing a role in our own Game of Thrones? Who’s venue (house) is doing better than who? And are we all trying to reach the ultimate goal of sitting on the throne of Westminster’s best venue? Just got me thinking that’s all! What Throne are you racing for?
Maternity leave is over, and we’ve teamed up to arm One Great George Street with not just one but two Business Development Managers – the ultimate dynamic duo! Give either of us a shout (call 02076652323 and ask for Jayna or Jonathan) if you’d like to host an amazing event with us at Westminster’s One Great George Street.
Our Fine Arts and Conservation Specialist Lucia Munoz-Barrena shares her most recent restoration work with us.
One of the often unnoticed great treasures of One Great George Street is the 1913 decorative balustrade. Entirely hand made with a wrought iron structure, it is profusely decorated with multiple cast bronze pieces which were all supplied by N.F. Ramsay & Co., the Newcastle upon Tyne lock manufacturer.
The team at One Great George Street were just a bit excited to hear the news that they are finalists for ‘Best Conference Venue Customer Service’ and ‘Best Conference Venue (under 650 theatre style)’ in this year’s Conference Awards! Winners will be announced on 5th July!
