We have just finished a mini refurbishment of our Café bar in these first 2 weeks of January.

We have installed a new servery hot cupboard and fridges, along with new ceilings and lighting, replacement of the carpeted floor and a fresh paint job – all completed by either specialist contractors or the very talented and dedicated Maintenance team.

Some minor changes such as moving the electrical sound boxes and installing a new coffee list blackboard have helped freshen up the place.

The ICE is planning a comprehensive refurbishment in a couple of years’ time to include more complicated jobs such as air vents – as you can imagine in a listed building like this, no building work is easy! This mini-refurb will enable us to continue to provide our breakfast and lunch service effectively and welcome all guests to One Great George Street

2 Comments on Café Bar Refurbishment Project

  1. On my occasional visits to London can I dine in the Cafe Bar with several guests (max 4) without booking?
What proof of Institution membership do I need to present to the main entrance door staff?

    • Dear Martin. Many thanks for your query. Our Café Bar and Brasserie One are both currently closed until further notice in accordance with government guidelines. In normal circumstances, we do not take bookings for the Café Bar which opens from 8am – 6.30pm and you’d be welcome to attend without your membership details. Should you require a guaranteed table with table service, I’d advise you to book a table at our in-house (lunchtime only) Brasserie One in advance via 02076652340 / brasserie@ice.org.uk
