amg-216I love a winter wedding; there is something about the festive season and LOVE being in the air that makes it a special time of year to tie the knot.

filming-bridget-jones-photoFrosted mornings, blazing fire places, being wrapped up in a cosy blanket with a loved one are just a few of the things that I look forward to when December rolls around. Two of my favourite festive films of all time have wedding scenes take place in them; “Love actually” & “Bridget Jones Diary”, which if you didn’t already know happened to be filmed at One Great George Street, so a wedding during the month of December is a magical fit.
A few of my past couples who got married in December have had some wonderful ideas of tying in their wedding with the festive season; Christmas Crackers as favours, personalised baubles, gingerbread men with icing pens to decorate are all great ideas to reflect the season.

The colour schemes you can have are also limitless as glitter and sparkle are especially welcome at this time of year, so if purple and white or red and gold are what you have in mind, then bring it on! The sparklier the better I say, and this is coming from someone that for the rest of the year promotes less is more.

If you haven’t really thought about having a winter wedding I hope this has given you some food for thought. Why not pop in and see our beautiful Christmas Decorations which you get included in your wedding package if you book your wedding during the month of December!
