Work to replace the main roof light above the upper library is now almost complete with the majority of the new glazing in place.
The toilets on the first floor are also progressing well with the new panels delivered and partly installed. The new sanitary ware is currently being plumbed in.
Work continues on the Great Hall ceiling with the difference between the cleaned sections and untouched sections clearly visible.
Repairs to the North West corner of the ceiling have also been completed.
The cleaning of the external stonework is also progressing very well with the majority of the stonework now cleaned down to the first floor level. Generally, the stonework is in excellent condition and has responded very well to the cleaning although you can clearly see where some of the stonework has been eroded over the years by acidic rain and pollution. The slightly eroded piece of stone column below will be replaced with a new piece of stone, carved to match the existing stone.
