Great news! One Great George Street has now become a finalist in the category ‘Best Conference Venue – up to 300 delegates’ for the 2016 Conference Awards!
The Conference Awards is the flagship event of The Global Conference Network (GCN) which was established to provide quality information and events for the global conference industry. The GCN aims to facilitate dialogue and strategic thinking amongst the world’s conference companies through a variety of different forums and channels. Through events, education and industry wide projects the GCN look to facilitate best practice within the conference industry and provide an industry wide voice to external organisations including educational institutions, suppliers and government bodies.
We may be biased, but we like to think that One Great George Street (affectionately known as ‘OGGS’ in the MICE industry) lives up to its name by successfully juggling its historic beauty with technical innovation and exceptional service.
OGGS has paved the way for conference venue sustainability and accessibility, and was one of the first historic venues to introduce a main entrance Sesame Platform Lift as shown in action below.
This summer the venue is further investing in a refurbishment aimed at ensuring OGGS maintains its role as an industry innovator.

Now in its 6th year, the Conference Awards attracts over 600 conference professionals and this year saw an increase in entries of over 25% – making a finalist nomination a great achievement. The awards recognise and reward excellence for events and teams from across the globe.
