Best Conference Venue Customer Service Finalist

One Great George Street - Telford TheatreWestminster’s One Great George Street is honoured to have been selected as a finalist in the category ‘Best Conference Venue Customer Service’ at the 2017 Conference Awards, with the winner due to be announced at an events ceremony on 30th June 2017.

Encapsulated within the The Global Conference Network (GCN) brand, the Conference Awards is the network’s flagship event. Now in its 6th year and attracting over 600 conference professionals, this awards body recognises and rewards excellence for events and teams from across the globe.

Has the events industry got its groove back?

So the new year is in full swing, winter has frozen our rates from last year and it looks like the events industry has got its groove back! I love this month; although some will be suffering from food comas and attempting ‘dry January’, this time of the year always fills me with hope and the opportunity for fresh starts.

One Great(er) George Street

Today One Great George Street has announced an extensive refurbishment works plan for 2016.

Home to the Institution of Civil Engineers, the building was designed by Scottish architect James Miller and celebrated its 100th birthday in 2010. It has been a Grade II listed building since 1984 and first became available for public events in 1989. Offering 21 flexible event spaces, the magnificent, Edwardian building with rich neo-Palladian and Baroque interior is currently a popular choice for diverse markets. In 2016, the building will undergo a series of works designed to further improve facilities, energy efficiency and accessibility.
