Gary’s Angels!

An old wise man once said: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing year after year and expecting a different result”. That’s why we at One Great George Street like to shake things up a bit the minute we sense something isn’t working. The snap general election has thrown a spanner in the works for our industry with some government bookings re-scheduled or postponed. Instantly our Director Gary Payne called upon his sales and marketing sidekicks (me, Victoria & Katie as above from left to right) to find a creative way of appealing to our clients during this time.

Value Matters – Team Care

What matters most to you during your working day? Is it the feeling of accomplishment when a project goes right? Or is it having a laugh with your colleagues?
In the hospitality industry, due to the sometimes very unsociable hours that we keep, one of the most important aspects of the role is the feeling of camaraderie – we’re all in this together come what may.

Has the events industry got its groove back?

So the new year is in full swing, winter has frozen our rates from last year and it looks like the events industry has got its groove back! I love this month; although some will be suffering from food comas and attempting ‘dry January’, this time of the year always fills me with hope and the opportunity for fresh starts.
