Today our Glazed Smoked Gammon accompanied by a smooth Rioja is the order of the day…

 

Glazed Smoked Gammon
Honey and Mustard Glazed Smoked Gammon with Mashed Potato,
Cabbage, Boiled Carrots and White Onion Sauce

Ondarre Rioja Reserva, 2011 Spain
Smooth and subtle on the palate, with strawberries and vanilla cream sustained through to a long finish with well integrated tannins a hint of cedar in the finish. Works beautifully with the richness of the honey and mustard glaze, the sweetness of the cabbage and compliments wonderfully the creamy mashed potato. Delightful!
